Global and Urban Health Equity Program

The Wayne State University School of Medicine's Global and Urban Health Equity Program is a free, two-year post-graduate program designed to strengthen patient care with a dose of cultural humility. GLUE's goal is to provide a greater awareness of cultural and socioeconomic factors, and emphasize the importance of communication skills in medical practice. The program involves seminars, group learning, mentoring, and international and local projects, and is based on Consortium of Universities for Global Health core competencies.

GLUE was developed by the WSU Global Health Alliance to train leaders who set national and international standards of best practice in global and urban health education, service, research, policy and advocacy. Graduates become pioneers who lead transformational and innovative solutions to international and domestic problems like those faced in addressing community infectious disease and global pandemics.
